When we met with Lori she went straight to the point. At first she was considering not having an invitation for their wedding. Their wedding ceremony and reception was going to be very small and intimate. Only dearest family members and closest friends were attending this Bayside beach theme wedding. She changed her mind and came to us wanting only a hand full of invitations and something for her to represent her big day and hold on to as keepsake. Her color choices were black and ivory, but she also wanted to convey that seascape beach feeling. After doing some thinking we found that extra something to add to their wedding invitation.

Her beautiful daughter was going to be wearing a light pink dress so we decided to incorporate that color into the invitation, adding that necessary extra touch. 

Using black and ivory shimmer card stocks as the layers we topped it with a light pink vellum overlay, giving this square invitation a pretty little bit of bliss. To tie everything together on this square layered invitation we did just that - added a raffia tie. We tied a natural colored raffia bow on the top of the invite uniting the three layers together. We carried on the same style, minus the vellum, for the reply card.
