Featured Couple: Mariam & Todd ~ Colors of the Hydrangea

Mariam & Todd Spencer
June 16th 2012
Ocean Pines, Yacht Club
Ocean Pines, Maryland

Theme: Hydrangeas
Colors: Purple, Blue and Green
Location: Ocean Pines Yacht Club

This couple is the perfect example of why we love what we do. We went full force with creativity on this wedding. Mariam and Todd knew they wanted to incorporate two key elements in the wedding invitations: Hydrangeas tied into simple style. PRESTO!!!! We did a single panel
invite, information card and reply post card all in three different shimmery colors with a simple image of a hydrangea. Why three different colors you ask?!?!?! They are all colors of the hydrangea, Mariam and Todd's wedding flower. Blushing Bride, Nikko Blue and Amethyst hydrangeas flowed throughout the whole wedding. From over sized bouquets to the favor labels, it only made sense to have the introduction to the wedding be the pace for what the guest would be encountering.

After the invitation came the wedding and reception. Mariam's and Todd's love for Ocean City showed at their wedding. For the guest favors they had a buffet of Candy Kitchen Taffy's and Fisher's Pop Corn. We supplied bags for guest to fill with their favorite treats along with a personalized thank you labels to seal it up their goodies.

And we can't forget about the cupcakes!!!! We did table cards printed on the same shimmer card stock we used for the invitations to tell guest what each delicious cupcake option they had.

Lastly is the Thank You's!!! We took the same style and format as the reply post card and made it into single panel thank you card with shimmer envelopes.

Featured Couple Suzy & Ryan ~Destination Miami

Suzy & Ryan Winchell
June 9th 2012
The Hilton Bentley Hotel
Miami, Florida

Theme: Miami Beach with a touch of Cuban Flare
Colors: Electric Blue and White
Location: The Hilton Bentley Hotel

So, you just got engaged. You start dreaming of your perfect wedding day and all that keeps coming to you is sun, sand and well...the beach. But not just any beach, Miami Beach!!!! And now there you have it, your first decision in planning your wedding is decided and now it's time to start planning a destination wedding. A destination wedding is a perfect way to enjoy a gorgeous setting away from home while reciting your nuptials to your best friend. Suzy and Ryan wanted just that - a destination where they can have their family and closest friends together to help celebrate their love (while in paradise with a little style:).

When we met with Suzy and Ryan they knew they wanted their invitations to be a combination of style and beach, but left the rest in our hands. With any destination wedding there will always be a lot of information needed to give to your guests. Pocket fold invitations are perfect for destination weddings because they neatly keep all your information organized in one sleek pocket style invitation. The pocketfold style was indisputable so next we needed to figure out some kind of pizzazz we could add. Clearly they wanted their guests to be just as excited about their upcoming travels to MIAMI BEACH!!!! Taking their destination and their electric blue wedding color we did just that!!! We found the perfect blue cardstock that has a glitter effect which screams electric blue. We used this blue color as an accent throughout this invitation set and used our bright white shimmer paper line too and added a subtle palm tree image (because you cannot forget the palm tree). But to top it off (orrrrr bottom it off??!!!) we added sand along the bottom of the invitation which is NO better way to invite those who you love to a beach destination. The sand was from Ocean City, Maryland of course!!!

White shimmer pocket fold invitation with reply post card and information card.

After the party was over we continued the fun with matching thank you cards. Printed on white card stock with the same palm tree imaged used on the invite and slightly more sand.

This group don't mess around...they showed Miami they knew how to through a party!!!!
